Civil Rights Journey With The Montgomery Bar Association

On June 1-3, 2025, I traveled with other members of the Montgomery Bar Association on a profoundly inspiring and transformative civil rights journey in Atlanta, and in Montgomery, Birmingham, and Selma, Alabama. We heard stories and experienced places where our fellow black sisters and brothers who lived in the deep south in the 1950s and 1960s courageously fought against brutality, abuse, and racism, paving the way for a more just and equitable society. As we reflect on this pivotal moment in our history, we are reminded of the power of resilience and the importance of continuing to strive for a brighter future, where every individual is treated with dignity and respect.
